Salisbury, MD – March 31, 2026
The Mardela Warriors turned in a complete performance Tuesday afternoon, using timely hitting and dominating pitching to secure an 11–0 shutout victory over Salisbury Christian in a regional nonconference matchup.
Early Pressure Pays Off
Mardela wasted no time applying pressure, pushing across runs in the opening innings and forcing Salisbury Christian to play from behind early. Nathan Feather sparked the offense near the top of the order, setting the tone with aggressive baserunning and consistent contact, while the Warriors capitalized on free passes to keep the scoreboard moving.
Big Innings Create Separation
After building a modest early lead, the Warriors broke the game open with consecutive multi-run innings in the middle frames. Jack Baumann delivered a standout day at the plate, driving in three runs and collecting extra bases as Mardela stretched the margin. Easton Banks added key hits of his own as the lineup turned over efficiently and remained relentless.
Pitching Dominance on Display
On the mound, Bryce Harr was in command from the start. The right-hander tossed four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out an eye-opening 11 batters to earn the win. Camden McIntyre followed with three shutout innings in relief, combining with Harr to limit Salisbury Christian to four total hits and no runs.
Clean Finish Secures the Win
Mardela’s defense stayed sharp throughout, committing no errors and backing its pitchers with steady play across the diamond. As the Warriors added insurance runs late, Salisbury Christian struggled to find momentum against a staff that issued minimal opportunities and consistently won key at-bats.
Player of the Game
Jack Baumann (Marldela) was the difference-maker offensively, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBIs, two runs scored, and a walk. His ability to deliver in run-producing situations helped turn a close contest into a decisive Warriors victory.
Final
Salisbury Christian 0, Mardela 11
With balanced scoring, overpowering pitching, and clean defense, Mardela continues to show why it remains a tough out this spring.
